Hi! We are Blast Off Toys and Games and we are challenging minds across the country in new and unexpected ways.

How, you wonder? Our toys and games have the ability to improve spatial skills, attention to detail, and abstract thinking. But most importantly, our products are a BLAST to play with!

In 2020 Tim Hicks, former owner and operator of a Learning Express toy store franchise, and Raul Rios, retired audit partner, started Blast Off Toys and Games after researching, testing, designing and developing a series of products that incorporated educational content with entertainment so individuals could learn while having fun.

Our products were originally created by a nationally awarded educator who discovered that many first-time engineering students struggle with the ability to visualize objects in three dimensions, a critical skill needed to succeed in any engineering or STEM major.In addition to his findings, studies have shown that there is a clear link between spatial and math skills and that students can increase their math skills by learning through spatial training.

So, how does one learn through spatial training? It doesn’t have to happen in formal learning environments. Researchers found that engaging in activities such as playing blocks, puzzles, and games can improve one's spatial skills.

This is why we do what we do. It is our hope to launch imaginations, ignite curiosity, and stretch the minds of everyone who gets their hands on one of our toys or games. Come play and see for yourself!
